At StopKG, accessible from stopkg.com, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors and users. This Privacy Policy document contains types of information that is collected and recorded by StopKG applications—primarily our browser extensions (such as Dopamine Cleaner)—and how we use it.
1. Information We Collect and How We Use It
1.1 Extension Settings & Local Data
Dopamine Cleaner stores all user preferences, custom platform toggles, and block lists locally inside your browser's storage sandbox (using Chrome’s chrome.storage.local API). This data is completely private, stays on your device, and is never uploaded, shared, or sent to our servers.
1.2 Selector Health Telemetry
To ensure the extension remains functional when social media websites update their HTML/CSS structure, Dopamine Cleaner utilizes Supabase for anonymous telemetry reporting. This telemetry consists solely of:
- Success/failure indicators of CSS selectors (e.g., whether the YouTube feed selector successfully targeted the feed).
- Aggregated element statistics (e.g., "Selector X matched 0 nodes").
- Generic browser version and extension version (e.g., "Chrome v120 / Extension v1.2").
CRITICAL: This telemetry does NOT collect any Personally Identifiable Information (PII), browsing history, account names, search queries, or page URLs. We cannot link telemetry reports to any specific user.
2. Third-Party Services
We use Supabase as our database infrastructure provider to store our anonymous CSS selector telemetry. Supabase is a secure, developer-focused cloud database. They act strictly as a data processor for our telemetry logs. For more information, please review the Supabase Privacy Policy.
3. User Control & Opt-Out
You have full control over your telemetry preferences. If you do not wish to participate in selector health reports, you can disable this feature at any time through the Extension Settings panel. Disabling telemetry will not degrade the functionality of Dopamine Cleaner.
4. LemonSqueezy Merchant of Record
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller LemonSqueezy. LemonSqueezy is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. LemonSqueezy provides customer service inquiries and handles returns.
When you purchase a StopKG license, your payment information is collected and processed directly by LemonSqueezy under their own privacy policy and terms of service. StopKG does not store or have access to your credit card details or bank credentials.
5. Security of Your Data
We employ industry-standard security measures to safeguard all telemetry data. Since your primary settings are kept locally, the security of that data relies on your browser's built-in sandbox security.
